On 25th Jan 2016, my daughter Léa was born.
What I realised then, is that up to this point, I had, in fact, a lot of time on my hands. It never really felt like it, I was always busy doing things, working on various projects, founding a startup and the likes.
But then Léa arrived, and suddenly, I had *no* time on my hand. None. Taking care of a baby requires an incredible amount of dedication, and finding a single minute of free time is hard. Finding an hour of free time is pretty much mission impossible as you spend the little time that you find sleeping. So I had to find a new way of working on my education.
That’s when I decided to give audible a go. Audible lets you listen to audio-books instead of reading them. It may not sound like much, but for me it was a complete game-changer. Suddenly, instead of having to find some time to read a book, I could just listen to them on my way to work (I walk), while doing exercise, while in the car etc.
While talking about this to my wife recently I realised that over the past 2 years I have in fact digested over 30 books this way, mostly to do with business, to increase my education further. This is an incredible amount of books, and in fact many more books than I would normally read. The ease and convenience means that I can educate myself at a much faster rate than before.
So why don’t you give it a shot? It is well worth it!
